I stopped by Chick-Fil-A for breakfast this morning and got to the drive thru window and was told that my breakfast was paid for by the lady in front of me. I thought that was so incredibly sweet and it just made me happy all day long that someone would do that for me.

I decided to pay that forward and paid for someone's parking at the hospital I go to school at and the guy honked and told me thank you. I felt really good making someone feel the way I felt when the lady did it for me.

It's neat how such a small gesture can make you feel so great :)

Sometimes we need something like this to brighten our days.

INSTALLING LOVE

from Christophe Poizat, International Network of Social Entrepreneurs

TECH SUPPORT: Yes, how can I help you?

CUSTOMER: Well, after much consideration, I've decided to install Love.

Can you guide me through the process?

TECH SUPPORT: Yes. I can help you.

Are you ready to proceed?

CUSTOMER: Well, I'm not very technical, but I think I'm ready.

What do I do first?

TECH SUPPORT: The first step is to open your Heart.

Have you located your Heart?

CUSTOMER: Yes, but there are several other programs running now.

Is it okay to install Love while they are running?

TECH SUPPORT: What programs are running?

CUSTOMER: Let's see, I have Past Hurt, Low Self-Esteem, Grudge and Resentment running right now.

TECH SUPPORT: No problem, Love will gradually erase Past Hurt from your current operating system. It may remain in your permanent memory but it will no longer disrupt other programs. Love will eventually override Low Self-Esteem with a module of its own called High Self-Esteem. However, you have to completely turn off Grudge and Resentment. Those programs prevent Love from being properly installed.

Can you turn those off?

CUSTOMER: I don't know how to turn them off.

Can you tell me how?

TECH SUPPORT: With pleasure. Go to your start menu and invoke Forgiveness. Do this as many times as necessary until Grudge and Resentment have been completely erased.

CUSTOMER: Okay, done! Love has started installing itself.

Is that normal?

TECH SUPPORT: Yes, but remember that you have only the base program. You need to begin connecting to other Hearts in order to get the upgrades.

CUSTOMER: Oops! I have an error message already. It says, 'Error - Program not run on external components.

' What should I do?

TECH SUPPORT: Don't worry. It means that the Love program is set up to run on Internal Hearts, but has not yet been run on your Heart. In non-technical terms, it simply means you have to Love yourself before you can Love others.

CUSTOMER: So, what should I do?

TECH SUPPORT: Pull down Self-Acceptance; then click on the following files: Forgive-Self; Realize Your Worth; and Acknowledge your Limitations.

CUSTOMER: Okay, done.

TECH SUPPORT: Now, copy them to the 'My Heart' directory. The system will overwrite any conflicting files and begin patching faulty programming. Also, you need to delete Verbose Self-Criticism from all directories and empty your Recycle Bin to make sure it is completely gone and never comes back.

CUSTOMER: Got it. Hey! My heart is filling up with new files. Smile is playing on my monitor and Peace and Contentment are copying themselves all over My Heart.

Is this normal?

TECH SUPPORT: Sometimes. For others it takes awhile, but eventually everything gets it at the proper time. So Love is installed and running. One more thing before we hang up. Love is Freeware. Be sure to give it and its various modules to everyone you meet. They will in turn share it with others and return some cool modules back to you.

CUSTOMER: Thank you.

My B'day Weekend Part 1

I had the best pre b'day weekend ever. Friday at work my co workers got me a birthday cake. They decorated my cubicle with pink streamers and Hello Kitty banners. Hello Kitty was also on my cake. They know me so well. LOL! My friend Sandy, got me a Hello Kitty blanket and coloring book. Again, she knows me so well. It was such a great day. Friday night I ushered at my friend Laurel's parents theater. The play was "The Last Night of Ballyhoo", which I had not heard of but it was very good. It was set in Atlanta during the premier of "Gone With the Wind." After the play we went to a pub on the Roswell square and listened to a really awesome band. We had so much fun. We left about 1:30 AM and I laid my head on the pillow a little after two. We had such and awesome time. I really love spending time with Laurel.

Saturday, my friend John, Tia, Martha, and several co workers went out to eat and dinner at my fave mexican restaurant. I had muchas margaritas. We all hung out and laughed until about 10 or so. John, Tia, Martha and I came back to my place and had a few more drinks courtesy of Tia's alchyhol stash. I just had 1 appletini. I really wasn't feeling more alchyhol. I did not get sick or hung over but I knew I had enough. My co workers were laughing at how much I giggle being intoxicated. They saw a whole different side of Cat. My friends left my place about 1:30 and I went to sleep about 2 which was really 3 with the lovely time change.

Sunday , I slept til noon and went over to my parents for the family celebration. Daddy is taking me to Cherokee, NC for the weekend for my present. Mom gave me some gambling money and a CD( Celtic Woman). I absolutely love them. Dad fixed filet mignon and twice baked potatoes for dinner and it was sooooo yummy. We had vanilla cake with buttercreme icing and Samoas Ice Cream for desert. MMMmmmmmmmmm. It was such a great b'day weekend and part 2 will happen this weekend. I'll update again after Cherokee :)

Labor Day Updates :-)

First, I just found out on the news about Steve Irwin passing. God bless you and your family! That is just so sad. I really enjoyed watching his adventures and of course hearing him say his catch phrase "Crikey". That is just too sad.

Friday night after work I went out to dinner with my old high school bf and his wife. I had received an email out of the blue wanting to catch up and get together. We had a great time talking about old times and current times as we didn't want to leave Shelley out. I think Jake, Shelley and I will stay friendly. It really is funny hanging out with your elem- soph yr of HS bf and his wife but we had a great time and enjoy another. We went for ice cream at Cold Stone Creamery. OMG can we say orgasmic. I had Cake Batter Remix which was heavenly to say the least :) It consisted of cake batter ice cream, fudge sauce and brownie all crumbled together and of course with rainbow sprinkles. We had decided we needed to do this every so often so we'll do it again in a couple weeks. When I got home I had an email from Jake inviting me to Shelley's surprise b'day party this coming Sat. That was really cool and I'm gonna go :) What an awesome night it was :)

Saturday, I didn't do a lot during the day. I just relaxed pretty much. I did go and pick out some outfits for my new baby cousin born Wed. Her name is Kyleigh Madison and was just under 6 lbs. I found some really cute outfits. I love baby shopping but especially baby girl shopping :) It is my fave. Saturday night I took my good friend John and his 2 step daughters, Abby and Bailey out to Houlihan's for dinner for his b'day. He gave me such a hard time about turning 30 I gave him a hard time about it being his last yr in his 20's. LOL! We always get their awesome baked potato soup and it did not disappoint. Abby and John got chicken tenders. Bailey got 2 mini burgers and I got a grilled chicken sandwich. It was quite yummy. The girlies are 6 and 7. They loved their kids meals b/c they got carrot sticks, apple sauce, and ice cream with their meal. We had a really nice time. It was time to say our goodbyes and the girlies really wanted to spend the night at "Aunt Cat's" house. Unfortunately, I was spending the weekend at my parents and I didn't think that would go over so well. LOL! But we did say we'd make a time for them to sleep over. They are my lil angels :) It was again a great night!

Sunday, was the day to visit lil miss Kyleigh Madison and Big Brother Canyon. My cousin Heather just had miss Kyleigh on Wed , the 30th. She is soooo precious and soooo tiny. I don't think I've ever held a baby that tiny. She is just a lil angel.I held her a lot and she was sleeping most of the time but now and then she would open her lil blue eyes and I fed her. I think the nipple of the bottle was bigger than her lil mouth so I was really careful. I guess she got good and full bc she sacked out again. Canyon, who is 21 months absolutely loves his baby sister. He'll say "Kyleigh" in the sweetest way and go kiss her on her forehead. So far no jealousy issues, which Heather was worried of b/c Canyon even gets a lil jealous when Heather hugs Scott, her hubby. We just had a really nice visit. Canyon was showing me where his eyes, ears, nose, mouth, back, toes, fingers, knees are and where Kyleigh is. He absolutely loves her. Canyon also blew kisses to Kyleigh across the room. Too precious! It was time to say goodbye after a couple hours and Canyon ran and gave me a huge hug and blew me a kiss. He is the cutest and sweetest lil boy. Ohhh, it's too cute my cousin always styles Canyon's hair with a lil mohawk. It really is the cutest :)

Today, I'm just going to relax and cook out with my parents. Then it's back to work tomorrow. Hope you all had a great weekend :)

Well, first of all. I survived the lovely storms of death this morning. Some tornadoes touched down not too far from me but I'm okay and as far as I know all my family and friends are ok so that's what matters. I was awakened about 3am with strong winds, thunder, lighting, and pouring rain but it calmed down around 4:30 and I was able to fall back asleep. Now they are all over so that's good :)

Work is going pretty well. It's slowing down a lil bit which is a nice lil break for me.

I met a guy from online I've been talking to for like 3 yrs now so that was really nice. We had a good time. I won't kiss and tell but it was really nice that's all I'll say about that ;) LOL!

Also learned some info I really didn't want to hear from a blast from the past that didn't end so well but I'm glad I do know bc I'll stay strong and not talk to the bum again.

The Braves have started up so I'm sure I'll go to a game soon. Gotta see my Chipper play. Mmmmmmm , yummmy!

Well, that's about it for now I suppose.

I do have some happy meds and I am not allowed to work tomorrow so I get another day of rest. I just hope I feel better come Saturday as I have a baby shower to host. I will be okay oh yes I will.
Good lord, I had some excitement tonight. I had put my dishes in the dishwasher and as they were drying I starting smelling an odd smell then I could tell something was burning. Well, I saw smoke coming from the dishwasher. I opened it and there I found a plastic lid right on the heating element. Lovely! Luckily I got it out before it caused any damage but now I have a lovely headache from burnt plastic smell. But thank god nothing major came of it. I also have sprinklers all over my apt so thank god I tamed it before they went off. Everything would have been ruined. So, there's my excitement for the night! *Shakes head*

Birthday Weekend

Well, Friday morning I woke up about 8 and we left about 9 for the Georgia Aquarium. We took MARTA and got there about 10:30. There were some spectacular things about it such as the Beluga Whales and the Whale Shark. There was a nice archway of glass full of fish, stingrays, and the Whale Shark named Ralph. They had a moving sidewalk for that part. But really all and all I was disappointed bc with all the hype it has gotten I expected more but it did have it's moments. After the aquarium we sat in Centennial Park for awhile. It was such a gorgeous day. It was sunny and in the high 70's. We stayed out there about 45 min then we went on to Hard Rock and have lunch. There were a lot of birthdays. They had a gong they rang for everyone's birthdays. It was very loud. LOL!

Saturday, I went out with my friends to Taco Mac. I didn't drink too much. I guess I'm getting older. LOL! I really drank just enough to get a lil tipsy. I had 2 margaritas, a sex on the beach , and a free birthday shot of jager. We were originally going to go bowling and karaoke after wards but I guess I'm starting to get older and called it an evening about 11. That is so sad. No more 2, 3, 4 am for me. LOL! But we had a lot of fun so that's all that matters. Thanks to my friend John there was a bit of a wardrobe malfunction. Luckily I didn't flash anyone. I would have been a lil bit more pissy if that had happened. LOL!

Well, today is my last day as a 20 something and it does feel really weird but I've heard from lots of sources the 30's are a great decade b/c you really come into your own and really know who you are. Sounds good to me but it's still really strange. So tomorrow at 2:21 PM I'll be 30. That is just wild to me. LOL!

On a non-related note. I just read something that really made me see red. There is the 24 yr old military wife in FL and her husband sent back a sign from Iraq to show support of troops. She put the sign in her yard and her homeowner's association demanded to take the sign down b/c there is to be no signs in the yards except For Sale, etc. She refused which really who wouldn't and then they decided she would be fined $100 a day that the sign remained up. Well, there was someone on the committee that is a veteran and she got the people to come down to $1 a day but it would be raised if she kept it up too long. That is just so totally messed up. This is freaking America and they are pulling this absolute BS! She obviously is leaving it up but really she would get so much support if it came to that. That is just totally nuts.

Well that's really about it for now. TTYL!

Well, for me my weekend starts in less than 24 hrs. I could not be happier about that. We get a paid birthday holiday and I'm taking Friday off. Gosh, it's hard to believe that Monday I will be turning 30. I do feel strange about this birthday. It just feels weird.

So, Friday I am going to the new aquarium here and then to Hard Rock and possibly a carriage ride. It's a daddy and daughter day :) So much better than working all day!

Saturday, I am going out to dinner with friends and then we're going bowling and karaoke. It will most likely be drunken bowling and karaoke as my friends plan on getting me sloshed for my 30th. I have no objections. I have a DD and don't do that often so I'm allowed I believe. Especially, after the work week I've had. Is there a full moon on the rise? Good lord but no worries weekend is almost here :)

On an unrelated note I really enjoyed American Idol tonight. This season the guys are soo much better than the girls. For the girls I love Kelly and am rooting for her all the way. Tonight, I totally swooned over Ace! He totally gave me goosebumps. Mmmmmmmmm yummmy! LOL!

Well, I'll update after my fun! Gosh, only a few more days being a 20 something! Yikes!

Well , let's see work has gotten better. It's slowed down finally and is a lot less stressful for now at least. Yesterday, I took my grandpa out to dinner for his birthday. We went to Cracker Barrell and was most yummy. I also had spent 3 hrs at the salon getting pampered prior to that. Nothing like a cut, color, and highlighting to make you feel better. :) I think I deserved it after the past couple weeks. I have had so much dang drama but the guy drama is over. That is totally over not to be reopened again. I may have given it another shot in the past but I'm not going to repeat it. It's always the same result eventually. I can't believe I got in such a huge fight with another girl over him but the girl and I are talking again so 1 good thing came out of this mess. I also have great friends that have helped me thru this mess.

Now, I'm getting ready for turning 3-0 in a couple weeks. That is just freaking me out. It's weird I won't be a 20 something anymore. This is the first birthday I'm not really excited to come. LOL! But I will have fun out with my friends and getting a bit tipsy.

Well, really that's it for now.
